DuckTales Fans might recognize a familiar voice at the end of the second GTA 6 Trailer
People on the internet are speculating about two particular actors who might be appearing in GTA 6
Rockstar Games released the long-awaited second trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on May 6th— 2 days ago. Fans have been quick to analyze every aspect of it, including speculating which actors are playing the various characters.
While Rockstar and all the rumored actors remain very tight-lipped about it still, there are 2 actors that the internet seems to be mostly in agreement on so far.
Bobby Moynihan as Cal Hampton—

And Stephen Root as Brian Heder—

Stephen Root is known for playing a great many intentionally “over-the-top” characters. Which makes him a great casting choice for any GTA character. As some fans have pointed out online.
“I cannot think of a more perfect combination than Stephen Root voicing a character in GTA. Like, almost ALL of the characters he played could fit into the GTA universe perfectly.” — Responds u/Helios_Exousia in a comment on the r/GTA6 subreddit.
Bobby Moynihan is known for a ton of voiceover roles in animation and video games. As well as being a recurring actor on Saturday Night Live.
As an avid cartoon and animation fan, I instantly recognized the voice of Louie Duck from the 2017 DuckTales reboot.
While neither of these actors are officially confirmed, it is impossible not to notice both the physical resemblance and that their voices fit the rumored actors. Moynihan particularly.
If you want a direct voice comparison for Bobby— don’t worry, we’ve got you.
Just listening to this multiple times, I consider myself 99% convinced about this one.
Use of photorealistic characters in video games.
Many video games today use photorealistic character models and model them after the actors who play them. And the Grand Theft Auto franchise is particularly famous for this approach, as they have been since GTA4.
Sometimes to the point where the actors are a bit too recognizable. Which anyone who instantly recognizes Steven Ogg as his GTA 5 character Trevor Philips whenever he appears on screen in other live-action media like The Walking Dead or Better Call Saul, can attest to.
New Game Now also has an article listing all the named characters in the upcoming GTA 6.
