Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Date Confirmed

Since the first Nintendo Switch released back in 2017, fans of the console have long been waiting for its successor. Earlier this year, Nintendo finally unveiled the aptly named “Nintendo Switch 2.”

During its most recent Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be available for sale starting June 5. 2025.

The new hybrid console will feature a handful of new features, including a new chat room feature as well as increased storage and memory. Footage from the highly anticipated Mario Kart World was also shown.

Nintendo also announced the next entry to Zelda franchise— Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, taking place in the same universe as its predecessor Age of Calamity as well as their sister titles The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom.
